During April, 1999,
DELCOM began staffing and operating a "Customer Response Center"
for
scheduling the installation of emergency warning radios.

The Response Center provides
both inbound access for the citizens of a multi-county area and outbound
scheduling of appointments to install warning radios
in homes, businesses, government offices, schools, and other public gathering
places. The radios are being provided by the Federal Government through
the State of Alabama and are part of the second largest Federal project
in the Southeastern United States.
The Response Center
is flexible and can easily be adapted to a variety of different
